Privacy Policy
Groomly is a salon management system for pet grooming businesses. This policy explains how Groomly handles personal data and Google Calendar data when a salon uses the system.
Data we process
- salon account and user information, such as names, email addresses, roles, and login activity;
- client and pet records, such as owner names, phone numbers, pet names, breeds, notes, service history, and appointment history;
- booking requests, appointment details, service prices, groomer assignments, and operational notes;
- technical information needed for security, audit logs, troubleshooting, and system reliability;
- Google Calendar event data when the salon connects a Google account.
How we use Google Calendar data
Groomly uses Google Calendar access only to synchronize salon appointments. When a salon connects a Google account, Groomly may create, update, delete, and read calendar events related to salon appointments and availability.
Groomly does not sell Google user data, does not use Google user data for advertising, and does not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide and secure the calendar synchronization feature.
Google API Limited Use
Groomly's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Purpose of processing
Data is used to provide the Groomly service, manage appointments, support booking workflows, contact salon clients where applicable, keep operational records, maintain security, and troubleshoot support requests.
Data sharing
Data may be processed by hosting, infrastructure, notification, support, and security providers only where needed to operate the service. Google Calendar data is used for the calendar integration and is not shared for advertising or unrelated purposes.
Data retention
Groomly keeps data for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and support salon operations. Google OAuth tokens are stored until the salon disconnects Google Calendar or the connection is otherwise removed.
User control and revocation
A salon administrator can disconnect Google Calendar from the Groomly admin settings. Users can also revoke Groomly access from their Google Account permissions page.
Security
Groomly uses access controls, authentication, audit logging, and operational safeguards to protect service data. No internet service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, but we work to keep data protected and access limited to authorized use.
